Poety 1

Welcome to the Addiction and Art Website

The Addiction and Art Download Gallery features artists' statements about the artwork to increase viewer understanding of the work. This page is devoted to adding a master poet's response to some of the same art in an attempt to add even more insight/meaning to the works.

Washington DC's poet extraordinaire, BRASH, has written poetry to accompany numerous Addiction and Art efforts. BRASH has poems for every work in the Addiction and Art book, written poems for all of the Addiction and Art works featured: in 2012 Annual Education Conference of the International Nurses Society on Addiction (Washington, DC), at the 2011 Frederick, Maryland Artomatic Addiction and Art show, and at the Blue Elephant Addiction and Art Exhibition in 2010 (Frederick, MD).
